At this meet Pete Mitchell brought along his iPac board and joysticks to connect up to a PC which Jon A had installed a minimal Fedora with XFCE. The install automatically logged in and launched WahCade! a front end for the mame apps to enable easy launching of games with a joystick and buttons.
The install was a really quick and dirty setup and a number of problems were highlighted which the group managed to fix, such as the xml list creation errors.
The idea behind the meet was to prove moving from a Windows based setup would be fairly trivial…
